Stage 43 was proud to present M*A*S*H - the kickoff to our "As Seen on Screen" 2018-2019 season!
Did you know that Richard Hooker wrote the book MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors following his own experiences as a doctor in a MASH unit in Korea – and yes…he really did name his tent “The Swamp”. The stage adaptation by Tim Kelly followed, as well as feature film and TV versions. The story of talented surgeons who use mischief and insubordination to deal with the pressure and turmoil of finding themselves in the middle of the Korean War is one that audiences continue to find both relatable and entertaining.
M*A*S*H was performed at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam). Patrons were able to enjoy free parking or just hop on the sky train – the theatre is adjacent to the new Lafarge Park-Douglas Station!
Partial proceeds from all tickets sold for this production were donated to Honour House Society, which provides a free of charge, temporary home for members of our Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans and Emergency Services Personnel and their families while they travel to receive medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver Area.
